MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) is produced out of sawdust that is compressed with a tremendous amount of pressure, which creates a dense solid sheet.
There are many softwood and hardwood MDF composites available, which create different densities of MDF material. MDF also comes in premium grade substrates which offer excellent painting surfaces and edge ability.
Standard mill sheet sizes are listed below:
- 4’ x 8’
- 4’ x 10’
- 5’ x 8’
- 5’ x 10’
The machining of MDF will usually allow a chip-free quality with a durability that is extremely strong for impact resistance.
